Futile Catch-Up post, part 1 of n

So I have been ultra-lax about dating-up this 'log.

What has transpired in the interim

*) Went back to Boston area for Graduation ceremonies. (insert joke about getting phd hood).

*) Did the above while suffering from some bastard Scottish viral cold.

*) Did not feel much like posting about "Woe to me, I have a damn cold" so I
avoided writing blogger entries. You are welcome.
